Stafix Opens Markets in South America

Stafix Ltd, a company from Jyväskylä Finland, has received a significant order from an international printing house   in Ecuador.  A full container load of sheets was sent at the end of June.  The innovation from Finland will spread to Latin America’s consumers via brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestle and other large international brands.

  • We had a previous campaign in Mexico for Coca-Cola.  We believe that our new partner in Ecuador will further open the Latin American market for us, said Managing Director Jose Ayala.

Stafix is a printable, statically charged polypropylene film that will adhere to any clean dry surface without adhesives or other chemicals.

  • In Latin America, we expect the Stafix film to be used for POP advertising as well as on more valuable products such as electronics and car advertising simply because the product does not leave any residue behind. Another additional benefit is that our product is environmentally friendly.  The Stafix film is 100% recyclable, says sales and marketing director Aleksi Rastela.

“After long-term product development, it’s time to focus on sales”

Stafix received a nationwide graphic industry innovation award in 2008 for their statically charged polypropylene film.  The development of this multifaceted material has been developed with VTT and other predominant names in technology. The young company is now starting its phase in active sales. “We’ve spent a long time perfecting and developing our product and now it’s time to sell” says Managing Director Ayala and partner Rastela.  Stafix’s turnover has increased nearly two-fold since 2008 and additional staff has been hired.

The average age of Stafix staff is 26 years old

Stafix was started in 2007 but is already an international company that employs 7 people.  The staff is made up of several nationalities, which vary in age from 24-35 years.  “We have a good and enthusiastic international team.  Our youth has brought its own set of challenges since we have all had to start from scratch. We have found that the right attitude, a high level of competence and our varied cultures are our key advantages”, says 28 year old Ayala. 2/3 of turnover comes from outside of Scandinavia.  The greatest amount of Stafix sheets are currently sent to German speaking countries and France.  Some of the larger customers are, for example, Bayer Schering Pharma, Coca-Cola, Unilver and Nestlé.
